You are Invited to the King's Plate
After 70 years of being the Queen’s Plate this race is now the King’s Plate following tradition of being named after the ruling monarch.
Please join us on Sunday, August 20th at 11am for the 146th running
of the King’s Plate race at Woodbine Racetrack.
The King’s Plate is Canada’s oldest and most prestigious thoroughbred race having been founded in 1860. It is also the most continuously run race in North America. It is run at a distance of 1 1/4 miles for a maximum of 17 three year-old horses foaled in Canada.
The purse is $1 million.
The King’s Plate is the first Jewell of the OLG Canadian Triple Crown.
We have reserved seating in section 211 of the historic grandstand $63.72 Plus HST
