What the Hunter Derby day looks like,
10 am registration.
10 – 11;30 am, course walk and warm up.
Noon the first horse will go.
Class one, Field Hunter :cross country course including a stream crossing. (2ft natural inviting jumps)
Class two, Handy Hunter: including gate opening and maneuvering through a number of obstacles.(no jumps)
Class three, In Hand Hunter leading your horse from the ground through a short obstacle course.
You can enter all of the classes or just one. Placing of 1st through 3rd in each class.
“The Clifford Sifton Challenge Trophy” will be presented to the overall high point horse and rider.
Tailgate Challenge Picnic
Tailgaters start to arrive at 10 am, we ask that you plan to be completely set up for 11;30.
Tailgaters will cheer on their favorite competitors while touring around other tailgates to taste what they are serving. Both food and drink.
At the end of the day “The ECH Tailgate Cup” will be presented to the best tailgate team.
Expect classes to go from noon until approximately two thirty .
